Here is a brief history of the Icepack’s origins..
Charles and I met many years ago, living in the same small town Oakey, west of Toowoomba and both attending Toowoomba Grammar School and then later both going on to complete Mechanical Engineering degrees.
We made our first Icepack prototype for Oakey Weighbridge & Transport Terminal (David Overton, Sam’s father). The first Icepacks traveled in some of the harshest conditions in the country, these early days were priceless in the development and future of our products.
David impressed strongly upon us that Heavy Transport is an industry where reliability and quality means everything. These values and ideals are still our focus, and always will be.
We began our official production and sales with the Icepack 2000 in 1994, and proudly this good old girl still sells well for us. We have since broadened our range, making alterations in size, shape and noise reduction to suit the ever changing market demands.
Our Icepack range has the most powerful cooling capacity of any sleeper cab air-conditioners on the market at 5.25kw or 18,000 BTU. We have combined the best parts available with our innovative design and installation techniques, to create an ultra tough and reliable unit that will add value to your vehicle all while making your life on the road very comfortable.
We believe that our range offers something to suit everyone. This new site contains all the details and specifications so that you can make a fully informed decision about your purchase. We also offer a FAQ section, which can hopefully help you with your general servicing and operating requirements.
